Modern Slavery Statement Introduction


This is Headington Medical Technology Ltd (HMTL) statement on modern slavery and human trafficking pursuant to section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and demonstrates our commitment to eliminating the risk of forced, bonded, compulsory labour or human trafficking within our own operation and supply chain.

This statement is made on behalf of HMTL on 18th Dec 2019, a private company registered in England and Wales with registered company number 123370316.

HMTL is young SME company located in Oxford, supplying medical electronic, accessories and consumables since 2016.

HMTL is a direct subsidiary of the Eco Medivent Equipment Pvt Ltd India and sells its product in UK, India, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.

We work with our manufacturing partners who are well established with their own social and ethical policies.

We expect all Suppliers and Partners to maintain a supply chain that is free from Modern Slavery and human trafficking and to conform to HMTL’s Group’s policies in this area.

Our Commitment to Ethical Trading

We are committed to ethical trading principles and to acquiring goods and services without harm to others. We require all our suppliers and partners to comply with all applicable laws (including the Modern Slavery Act). Our suppliers and partners are predominantly based globally and all of them adhere to the stated Codes of Conduct and Ethics.

Our Commitment & Risk Assessment

To help identify and monitor the risk of slavery and human trafficking in our supply chain we:

Question potential suppliers to identify risks of slavery and human trafficking

Identify and review potential risk areas in our existing supply chains. Put processes in place to mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our supply chains.

Only employ agency workers through reputable employment agencies that adhere to our anti-slavery and human trafficking policy (or equivalent policies).

Effectiveness in Combating Slavery & Human Trafficking

The percentage of suppliers and contractors vetted for ethical labour practices.

Percentage of staff receiving training on identifying and addressing the risk of slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains.
